1. British Chevening Scholarships for International Students
Deadline: November 6th
Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations. The programme offers awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study for a master’s degree in any subject at any UK university.
A Chevening Scholarship normally covers university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, an economy class return airfare to the UK, and additional grants and allowances to cover essential expenditure.
2. Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships for Developing Commonwealth Countries
Deadline: December 19th
Commonwealth Scholarships for Master’s study in the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

Deadline: December 5th
Gates Cambridge Scholarships are one of the most prestigious international scholarships in the world. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.
A Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge including tuition fees, maintenance allowance, travel costs, etc. It also provides additional, discretionary funding such as academic development funding, family allowance, fieldwork, etc.
4. Clarendon Fund Scholarships at University of Oxford
Deadline: January 25th
The Clarendon Fund is a major graduate scholarship scheme at the University of Oxford, offering around 140 new scholarships every year. Clarendon Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and potential across all degree-bearing subjects at the graduate level at the University of Oxford. All Clarendon Scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full.
5. University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships
Deadline: February 1st
University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available in the majority of Sussex Schools and are awarded on the basis of academic performance and potential to non-EU international students who have applied for and been offered a place for eligible full-time Postgraduate Taught degrees at the University of Sussex. The scholarship is 50% off international student tuition fee. Scholarships are offered for one academic year.
6. International Ambassador Scholarships at University of West London
Deadline: November 30th
The International Ambassador Scholarship recognizes and provides financial support for outstanding students who wish to act as ambassadors for the University of West London. Scholarships are worth up to £5,000. The scholarship provides a discount against the cost of tuition for the first year of study only.
7. UWE Chancellor’s Scholarships for International Students
Deadline: April 28th
The University of the West of England, Bristol offers more than £100,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year. This includes the Chancellor’s Scholarship wherein the recipient will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments.
The recipient will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for one academic year.
8. Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships
Deadline: January 18th
The Chancellor’s International Scholarships are allocated annually via a combined postgraduate research scholarship competition and are open to all overseas students in any discipline offered at Warwick. The scholarship covers full payment of overseas tuition fees worth up to £22,860, maintenance stipend in line with UKRI rates (provisional £15,044 for full-time award holders).
9. Nottingham Developing Solutions Scholarships
Deadline: April 30th
Developing Solutions Scholarships are designed for international students who want to pursue a Master’s Degree at the University of Nottingham and make a difference in the development of their home country. The scholarship covers 50-100% of the tuition fee.
10. Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships
Deadline: February 1st
The University of Edinburgh is offering 30 scholarships for Ph.D. Research Programme in any field of study offered by the University. Each scholarship covers the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/EU graduate student and that chargeable to an overseas graduate student. The awards do not cover maintenance expenses. Subject to change, the awards are tenable for up to three years.
