NIMC Identity Day 2023 Competition: Express Your Take on Identity!

CELEBRATING IDENTITY: NIMC’S GRAND COMPETITION FOR IDENTITY DAY 2023!.

  • In celebration of the 5th Identity Day themed “Identity Concerns All, and It Is for All”, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) invites pupils and students from Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary institutions across Nigeria to partake in an essay, poetry, or artwork contest. Themes revolve around the essence of identity. Specific guidelines based on the student’s level apply. Submissions can be sent via email or directly to designated NIMC offices. The deadline is 4:00PM, 18th August 2023. NIMC staff and their families are not eligible.

NIMC Competition for Identity Day

The Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy together with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) have rolled out the red carpet in celebration of a momentous occasion: the 5th Identity Day. Under the illuminating theme “Identity Concerns All, and It Is for All,” this year’s festivity beckons all budding writers, poets, and artists across the Federation to step forward and showcase their talents.

Entry Guidelines:

  • For the Essay Aficionados:
    • Primary School: Let your ideas flow, but keep it tight within 250 words.
    • Secondary School: Dive a bit deeper, but cap it at 1000 words.
    • Tertiary: Go all out with your thoughts, but don’t exceed 2000 words.
  • Poetry Lovers:
    • Keep your piece concise, ensuring it fits neatly within a single page, irrespective of your educational level.
  • Art Enthusiasts:
    • Pour your creativity on either an A4 or A3 canvas.

How to Submit Your Masterpiece?

  • Essays & Poetry: Shoot them over via email to idday2023@nimc.gov.ng.
  • Artwork: This deserves a special touch! Submit your creations in person or via a representative at your nearest NIMC office:
